Filing a Claim
If household goods items are damaged or lost while in the care of your mover, you have the right to file a claim to be compensated for the loss or damage. Federal law allows an interstate moving customer up to 9 months from the date a shipment was delivered (or in the event of loss for the entire shipment, from the date a shipment should have been delivered) to file a claim. Intrastate/ local moving customers should consult their paperwork or with the local department of transportation for their state claim filing requirements.
